A Guide To Bath Panels
Aug 2022
Bath panels are an essential part of any bathroom suite and complete the chosen aesthetic by bringing the bathroom together. An acrylic bath panel is going to be durable and easy to clean, making it a great staple material for Tissino bath panels. While you may not be fitting the bathroom yourself, it is worth noting that bath panels are a fairly straightforward installation and can even be used to upgrade your current bath to give your bathroom a fresh, clean-cut look
After choosing the right bath for your bathroom, you may decide bath panels are a necessary part of your bathroom design. Previously we explored acrylic baths in more detail in our blog post "Everything you Need to Know About Acrylic Baths". Much like looking at a single material, baths panels can be a little confusing or overwhelming, and we hope this quick guide will help you understand bath panels more and why they are so important in the bathroom.
What are Bath Panels?
Bath panels are designed to complete your bath and give it a completed look. They help conceal any pipework or fittings that would otherwise be exposed and are crucial in creating a polished, sleek look in the bathroom. Aside from aesthetics, path panels also ensure that water doesn’t drip underneath, therefore preventing repairs that could potentially be costly.
What are they made of?
All bath panels in the Tissino Bathing Collection are Perma Bianco. Our Perma Bianco bath panels are manufactured using pliant acrylic and are an innovation that overcomes unsightly discolouration in bath panels. Manufactured using a wooden core and reinforced with a resin layer, our Perma Bianco bath is highly rigid and will always maintain a beautiful finish. The acrylic also runs right around the edges of the panel to allow for any trimming.
Perma Bianco is designed to be a unique fixing system that holds the panels together in the corners and creates an aesthetically pleasing finish. Various sizes are available that will fit all our Tissino baths. The Perma Bianco finish ensures that bath panels stay white and will not discolour over time, even if exposed to sunlight.
Which Tissino Baths Require Bath Panels?
Straight baths require bath panels to complete the look. Single or double-ended, a straight bath requires one side panel and, in most cases, a shorter end panel. Like our Lorenzo Shower Bath, shower baths also require side bath panels, specifically designed to accommodate the extra room for showering.
However, freestanding baths such as the Angelo Freestanding Bath don’t require bath panels as they are designed as a complete piece.
